The half hour lead walks are on Saturday and Sunday mornings 11am and during the afternoon at 1.15pm and 3.30pm. They can be arranged during the weekdays between 10am and 3pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 10am-12pm Fridays.

The one hour novice hacks are available during the school holidays. and throughout the weekdays during term time 10am-3pm.
The one hour canter hacks are available Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 3pm or Friday mornings at 10am. They will also be available during the school holidays.
Private lessons can be arranged during the week. Tuesdays and Thursday between 10am and 3pm or Fridays between 10am and 12pm. There will also be a chance during the school holidays for children to have a private lesson.

Pony parties are available on weekends from 1.00pm- 2.00pm and 3.30pm-4.40pm.
The children will spend half an hour learning about the ponies, grooming them and tacking up ready to ride. They will then go out in a group for a half hour hack around Woodgate valley country park.
We can also do just the half an hour lead ride in a group for those not wanting the full hour. (£13.50 + £1 helmet

Every Friday morning at 10.00am we have a 45 minute ladies lesson.
School holidays only
On the pony morning or afternoon the children will work with members of staff learning how to look after the ponies and get them ready to ride. They will groom and tack up in a small group and then have a half hour riding lesson. After the lesson they will do a practical session, for example learning how to lead the ponies safely and daily duties like making their feeds.
Sessions are very popular so is bookings have to be made in advance.

When you call to book, please have this information ready for each rider:
• Name
• Age, if 18 or under. Riders must be 4 years old or above. There is no upper age limit.
• Height and weight. The maximum weight is 74 kg (11 1/2 stone) from age 13 upwards.
• How much riding experience they have, if any
• Any special needs or requirements

Hole farm trekking centre
Wear comfortable clothing for your lesson or lead ride. We advise that you don’t wear vest tops, skirts, shorts, or anything tight fitting. You must wear shoes or boots with a small heel. For your own safety you will not be allowed to ride in trainers or open shoes / sandals. We have a selection of boots which are available to borrow free of charge.
Hats can be hired for £1.00.
All of our hats meet the current BHS standard (EN1384)
For improver and advanced riders, we recommend that you buy your own riding hat, boots and jodhpurs as these will increase your safety and comfort. A body protector is also recommended to protect against the inevitable falls.
When you arrive at the centre, please park in Woodgate Valley Country Park car park, located on Clapgate Lane. Park in the bottom right hand corner if possible and follow the signage.
It is only a 2 minute walk from the car park to the centre. Please follow directions. Car park postcode is B32 3DS.
